Welcome to Adagio

The barge itself has a fascinating history. Launched as a Belgian cargo barge in 1932, she transported grain through Europe and later carried Allied troops during World War II. Decades later, and after extensive renovations, the barge found new life as a “floating luxury hotel” and chartered as the 12-passenger vessel, Savoir Faire. In 2020, she had a comprehensive refit and rebuilt as the 8-passenger hotel barge, Adagio.

Adagio is fully air conditioned with spacious public areas and four large, newly remodelled en-suite guest cabins, with your choice of twin or double bed configuration. En-suite bathrooms have flush toilet, heated towel rack, hair dryer, his & her sinks and a large walk-in rain shower with separate high pressure, hand-held shower unit.

Barge Adagio - Stateroom and Salon

Decorated with fine furnishings, the saloon, dining room and bar are finished in mahogany, teak and brass. These public areas have panoramic windows to take in the scenery. The saloon has comfortable seating areas, an upright piano, game table, and library. French windows open on to the forward sundeck. The adjoining elegant dining room has a dining table that can seat up to 14 guests, as well as a small writing desk in a quiet corner of the room. The aft area of the barge has a cozy cocktail lounge opening on to a small deck outside with seating and a circular stairway up to the observation terrace. The bar has a stereo/CD player, iPod docking station, refrigerator, and large capacity ice machine.

Adagio has two spacious sun decks, one forward and one on the upper deck, with comfortable chairs and dining tables.

Adagio offers private charters, as well as cabin cruise weeks.
