DAY 1, Sunday : Glasson

Guests are met in Dublin (other locations available for private Charter bookings) and transferred by private chauffeured minibus to Shannon Princess moored right next to the 17th tee at Glasson Golf and Country Club. Your Captain and his crew welcome you on board with Champagne, Black Velvets or Irish Coffees, then time perhaps for a stroll. Dinner on board.

DAY 2, Monday : Glasson to Athlone

This morning, enjoy a round of golf at Glasson Golf and Country Club, a Christy O'Connor design quoted as "the best he has done so far". The course presents you with many challenges and treats, as well as spectacular views from all 18 holes (18 holes, 6400m, Par 72). After lunch on board, we cruise the beautiful Inner Lakes of Lough Ree and moor in Athlone. In the afternoon, we visit the Kilbeggan Whiskey, dating from 1757 and the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, for a tour and, of course, a tasting. After your tour, enjoy time at leisure to explore, shop or perhaps join an impromptu music session at the town’s local pub, before dinner on board.

DAY 3, Tuesday : Athlone to Shannonbridge

This morning we take a break from the green to join non-golfers for a day of cruising and sightseeing in Athlone, in County Westmeath at the very heart of the country. We descend through Athlone Lock and have lunch on board while cruising to Shannonbridge. This charming little walled village is an excellent spot for riverside walking and exploring. We then take an excursion to Leap Castle (once home to one of America’s founding Fathers, John Carroll) and reputed to be Ireland’s most haunted building. There, renowned musician Sean Ryan and his family are your hosts and will show you around their historical and unusual home. You might choose to end the evening with ‘a pint’ at Luker’s Pub, along with some traditional music and a chat with the locals. Dinner on board.

DAY 4, Wednesday : Shannonbridge to Terryglass

After breakfast, the Shannon Princess slowly cruises through a beautiful landscape that constantly changes, offering up rolling green hills, ivy-covered ruins, medieval garrisons, and sleepy market villages. After descending Meelick Lock, we pause at the Portumna Swing Bridge which opens to welcome the Shannon Princess onto the serene Lough Derg. We will moor at the beautiful Terryglass Harbor in the quaint story-book village of Terryglass in County Tipperary. This charming hamlet nestles lazily nearby. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy breath-taking Atlantic Ocean views at the Lahinch Golf Club, one of the Emerald Isle’s oldest golf courses. The site’s most famous holes, the par-5 fourth and par-3 fifth, combined with unpredictable winds, will truly test your skills today! Dinner on board.

DAY 5, Thursday : Terryglass to Mountshannon

This morning, Shannon Princess cruises south as the sun rises on an especially beautiful portion of Lough Derg, cruising past ancient mountains and forested parks. We set course for the charming estate village of Mountshannon, perched above the Lough. A lovely place to visit, Mountshannon is renowned for its stunning scenery and pretty walks. In the afternoon, we transfer you to the Doonbeg International Golf Links. This is a world-class resort, set on 400 acres of spectacular links. Dinner on board.

DAY 6, Friday : Mountshannon to Killaloe

Enjoy a sunrise cruise and a hearty Irish breakfast, before we take you to Adare Manor Golf Resort. This exquisite, 18-hole championship course features 230 acres of lush Irish countryside with lakes and a river meandering through it. The Adare course was designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. (18 holes, 6815m, Par 71). Enjoy a very special Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.

DAY 7, Saturday : Killaloe

After breakfast, guests are transferred by private chauffeured minibus to their designated drop off point.
