Welcome to French Hotel Barge Athos

The French Hotel Barge Athos was built in 1964 as a commercial sand, grain and wine barge and was converted into a luxury hotel barge in 1982. Her association with wine continues today as she gracefully meanders through the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France.

Athos is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms each with ensuite private bathrooms. Configure the guest cabins with two twin beds or a queen bed to suit your preference.

The traditionally decorated, comfortable salon has two sofas and two armchairs for relaxing. The dining table seats up to 10 passengers at one sitting. They have a small library of books and an open bar area with fridge. A perfect place to relax.

Her spacious sundeck has a large, adjustable canopy to offer shade and protect from possible rain showers. This very practical canopy lowers and raises when cruising under bridges allowing passengers to remain seated on deck.

The sundeck features comfortable hardwood deckchairs, a large outdoor dining table, and a spa pool that fits 6 to 8 people.

An English-speaking crew of five efficiently attends to your comfort and entertainment, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
