Welcome to the World of Barge Cruises
Explore the European waterways aboard a quality, luxury, all inclusive, crewed boutique hotel barge cruise. Whether for a private barge charter or an individual cabin cruise week.

Many European Regions to Choose From
Enjoy a luxury barge cruise. Visit the French canals of the Loire Valley, Paris, Provence, Burgundy, Brittany, Alsace-Lorraine, Gascony, or the Canal du Midi in the south of France. Or, enjoy a cruise along the Shannon River of Ireland, Scotland’s Caledonian Canal & Loch Ness, or the River Thames in England. How about a Moselle River barge cruise and travel through Luxembourg and Germany? Can’t miss the tulips of Holland! Another area to consider is Venice and the Po Valley in Italy… What better way to explore Venice than by water!
Enjoy a Barge Cruise
Cruising on a fully crewed, all inclusive hotel barge charter is a fantastic way to relax and experience the beauty and culture of the country.
Imagine the sense of relaxation and enjoyment as your floating hotel carries you from one peaceful mooring to the next with more than enough opportunity to explore little villages, shops, the delightful countryside and much, much more, without the need to pack and repack every day….
Paradise Connections represents luxury hotel barges that accommodate small groups from 2 to 20 guests (if you’re a larger group, we can arrange for a tandem barge cruise). The attentive crew will pamper you with personalized service to ensure your enjoyment of this unique vacation. The cuisine is superb with carefully selected cheese and wines to accompany your meals aboard.
You may arrange a private barge charter for your family, friends, or groups. Most barges also offer individual cabin bookings where you’ll share the barge with other travellers. Frequently, we have large groups that necessitate chartering more than one barge… no problem, especially if you book early! Barging vacations are a wonderful way to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, family reunions, a corporate incentive, or one of the best reasons of all… just to have a good time! Don’t you deserve a treat?
Activities on Your Barge Cruise
Every day offers interesting local guided excursions, or you may choose to stay “home” with a good book and listen to some tunes… the choice is up to you. You can always do a bit of activity such as cycling and walking along the towpath as your barge makes its way along the canal.
Most all of our of barges have bicycles aboard for their guests to use. Some even have a tandem or e-bikes! You can ride alongside the canal on the tow path or venture into towns along the way for a visit and meet up with the barge farther down the canal. The crew can also advise routes suited for your interests and ability.
Other activities might include walking along the canal’s tow path, playing a game of pétanque, reading, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying the company of others…
Some barges offer themed cruises such as golfing, guided walks, cycling tours, wine tasting & appreciation cruises, family vacations, and regional festivals such as the Christmas Market barge cruise in Alsace, France.
