STANDARD CLASSIC ITINERARY : Between St Léger-Sur-Dhune and Pontailler-sur-Saone



SUNDAY, Day 1: Welcome Aboard
Travel: Arrival at St. Leger-sur-Dheune --- Meals: Dinner onboard

In the afternoon, you will be met by a crew member of the Grand Cru at the designated meeting point. From here, relax as you are chauffeured to the barge, moored in the petite village of St. Leger-sur-Dheune.  A traditional champagne welcome and introduction to the crew awaits you, before your first gourmet dinner onboard. Perhaps enjoy a glass of Grand Cru wine after dinner while lounging under the stars in the hot tub.

MONDAY, Day 2: Gourmet Luncheon and Restored Chateau
Travel: St. Leger-sur-Dheune to Chagny --- Meals: Breakfast & dinner onboard, lunch ashore

Today's adventures begin with a morning cruise towards Chagny, the home of Michelin 3-star rated Maison Lameloise.  A highlight of the Grand Cru's gastronomy, luncheon is enjoyed ashore in this luxurious venue, which was recently voted by discerning diners as one of the best restaurants in the world. Then, your Tour Guide presents Chateau de la Rochepot, a romantically restored Gothic-style chateau and fortress. Back onboard, sip craft cocktails and socialize on deck before Chef presents tonight's dinner.

TUESDAY, Day 3: Vines and Wines
Chagny to Fragnes --- Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner onboard

Begin the morning with a gentle cruise, admiring the rustic scenery gliding by.  Unwind on deck with a cup of coffee or explore the towpath and passing villages via bicycle or on foot. Continue your day deep in Burgundy with a private cellar tour and wine tasting at Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet. Appreciate wines from some of the most recognized appellations in Burgundy, synonymous with high-quality, complex vintages.  Back onboard, cocktails and canapes await, as another grand dinner culminates the day.

WEDNESDAY, Day 4: Chocolate Tasting Evokes Your Senses
Travel: Fragnes to Seurre --- Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner onboard

This morning, your Tour Guide chauffeurs you to the historic riverside town of Chalon-sur-Saone, where the bustling Place Saint-Vincent is lined with boutiques, galleries, and cafes.  Awaken your senses during a visit to an artisanal chocolate shop, where you will watch chocolatiers master their craft.  Sample and savor the creative and premium chocolates before returning to the barge for a lazy afternoon cruise while the bucolic countryside reveals itself.  This is the perfect time to discover the flora and fauna of the towpath with a gentle pedal or leisurely stroll. Another gourmet dinner ends this delicious day.

THURSDAY, Day 5: The Best of Burgundy in Beaune
Travel: Seurre to St. Jean de Losne --- Meals: Breakfast& dinner onboard, lunch ashore

The adventure continues as your Tour Guide introduces the charming town of Beaune, the region's wine capital, for a guided visit to the Hospice de Beaune, a preserved Medieval hospital built in the 15th century, and still in use through the early 20th century.  Afterwards, browse the shops and galleries lining the pedestrian area, or enjoy a coffee in the town square. Return to the Grand Cru for another cruise through pastoral countryside. Relax on the deck or take a bicycle ride into the meandering vistas.  Cocktail hour precedes another gourmet dinner.

FRIDAY, Day 6: From Idyllic Countryside to City Center
Travel: St. Jean de Losne to Pontailler sur Soane --- Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner aboard

A morning cruise begins the day. Join your Captain in his wheelhouse, ask Chef for an informal culinary demonstration, or enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee in the hot tub. In the afternoon, your Tour Guide presents an insider's visit to Chateau d'Arcelot, the first neoclassical castle of Burgundy, where you will be welcomed by the castle's owner, Madame la Comtesse de Loisy. After a tasting of locally produced gourmet specialties, return to Grand Cru and socialize in the salon before ending your cruise in style with a festive Captain's Dinner.

SATURDAY, Day 7: A Sad Farewell
Travel: Transfer from Pontailler sur Saone --- Meals: Breakfast onboard

After breakfast, you will be chauffeured to the designated drop off point.
